INTERACTIVE ILLUSTRATED TOOLS FOR REDUCING TEEN DRUG ABUSE

Rise Above Colorado strives to reduce youth drug abuse in the state of Colorado. A city specific campaign was created to encourage teens to share how they rise above the influence and peer pressure of drug abuse. I designed an interactive side scrolling site with a custom Colorado themed landscape illustration that allowed teens to view their progress against other cities and check what prizes their teams had won with each social post they shared in their community, that seamlessly integrated posts from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr with Wayin. Teens were able to quickly upload their social impact across all social outlets into this mobile-friendly interface. 

AN INTERACTIVE LESSON

After the success of the social campaign, Rise Above Colorado needed an interactive lesson that they could take to schools to present and administer to health teachers. The Not Prescribed campaign focused on educating teens about prescription drug abuse and combined each parts strategy, storytelling, animation, gamification design, and video production. I created custom illustrations for animated video graphics, interactive games, and helped lead a focus group with teens to test the education tool and it's effectiveness.
